WELCOME!
The Silver Statesmen Barbershop Chorus welcomes you to our website. Within these pages you will find out all about us, about what we do, and how you can become involved in one of the most fun and satisfying hobbies anyone can find.
If you have recently moved to Las Vegas or have lived here all your life, even if you are just visiting, you are welcome at any of our meetings. Come join us in a song, or if you would like to just come and listen to some great barbershop harmony, here is where you can find us:

WHEN: Thursday evenings at 6:30.
WHY: Because if you are between 10 - 110 years old, like to sing, and can carry a tune in a bucket, we’d love to have you come and enjoy the evening with us.

About the Silver Statesmen:
Southern Nevada's premier men's a cappella chorus, Silver Statesmen, is an all-volunteer chorus known for its thrilling, close harmonies and commitment to musical excellence. Chartered as the Las Vegas Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, we are the largest men's a cappella chorus in the State of Nevada. Proud to perform and preserve the unique sound of "barbershop" harmony, we perform a variety of songs from romantic ballads to show tunes to patriotic pieces. The chorus provides singing, music and performance education opportunities and partners with youth harmony programs in communities within the Las Vegas Valley and throughout Southern Nevada.
The Silver Statesmen are the current plateau A champions in the Southeast Division of the Far Western District, and has won Most Improved Chorus two years in a row! Our membership is growing constantly, and we strive to delight our audiences by constantly improving our singing technique and presenting exciting new songs.
The Barbershop Harmony Society, with headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee, is an international organization with chapters across North America, and is affiliated with similar organizations around the world. Las Vegas has twice hosted the International Convention, and being part of our chapter makes you a member of a much larger community.
PREREQUISITES:

- You love to sing. Do you sing in a choir or enjoy karaoke? Give four-part harmony a try.
- You can carry a tune. However, you do not need to be a professional singer.
- You have a desire to learn how to harmonize in that grand American Barbershop style.
- An evening of having fun singing.
- Free musical education - we learn something every night as we improve our craft.
- A lifetime of fellowship with a great group of men who share the sheer joy of singing.
